Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
My gyno never discussed stages or anything with me at all. I'm wondering what stage my endo is.
I have endo on my left ovary (which they can only get if they give me a full hysto) and they removed my complete right ovary and tube because I had a huge endometrioma on it. It was 3lbs and the gyno had never seen anything like it before (she's new to the practice, as I've said in other posts). She took pictures with her cell phone of the masses and showed me after. They looked like baseballs! It was awful.
So am I full stage 4 endo, since I had such huge masses and still have some endo on the other side they can't get? I also have pain during and right before period.

i dont think any of us can really answer this. i think a doctor would most likly have to tell you. if you have endo everywhere else and have this mass then you probably have a good chance of having extensive endo(stage4) but im not sure what stage it would be if its only the ovaries?

As far as I've been told its ovaries and tubes. It hasn't spread outside the uterus. I think I'll ask my gyno when I go back. The huge mass had me thinking stage 4, but it hasn't gone anywhere but my reproductive organs.

Most doctors don't tell stages anymore because the stage doesn't matter in regards to symptoms. Some women with stage 4 barely have any symptoms and don't even know until they can't get pregnant. And some women with stage 1 or a tiny amount of endo can have many, terrible problems.

when i first got checked my doctor NEVER told me my stage. i found out by going to the hospital and getting my surgical report. definatly do that. go down to medical records fill out some forms and they will give you the report for free if its under 5 pages. worth a try to know plus you get more info from it than the doctor themself

Only your doctor can let you know what stage you are by doing a laparoscopy. I was diagnosed with stage IV Endo last year. I had two large endometriomas and had one ovary and tube removed. I also had deep implants and adhesions throughout my abdominal cavity.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
