Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
You are not the only one! :)
As for germs, wash your hands and washt them often.
I'm personally afraid of my co-workers, and severely paranoid about catching a stomach bug (especially noro virus ,btw, hand sanitizer doesn't kill it). Today one of my co-workers was telling me how sick to her stomach she is and she has some GI thing going on. *sigh* My endo causes horrible GI issues for me on any given day...Could you just imagine if I caught a stomach bug on top of that?!?!?! I say, F that!
If there's a recall too I'm usually hit as well. I got salmonella from that peanut butter incident and listeria from the apple slices at McDonalds (I eat fast food like once a year so that was really random bad luck!). I've also had food poisoning from several restaurants.
Sick people don't really bother me since I'm usually one of the them lol If I hear there's a recall out on the news or a restaurant being investigated that's when I get twitchy. Salmonella while on my period was pretty damn ugly.
It is crazy how noro virus spreads like wild fire. Where I work we use signs on the door to indicate what type of contact precaution they have. C.diff and noro virus is a red "contact plus sign". Of course I had 3 patients with those signs last night... UGH!
Apple,
I have had food poisoning SO MANY TIMES. Now I will almost never eat a salad from a restaurant, and will not touch salad bars (which is sad, bc I love salads. But with my GI issues I can almost never eat salads now anyways.). I hate eating out, and when we do I want my food super hot (bc in my mind I am less likely to get sick from it lol) and I try to stick to places I trust.
I hate GI bugs!!!
Vally-We have those signs too! My whole shift I think to myself 'don't put your light on, don't put your light on lol.
One of my goals for 2014 is to not get food poisoning. So far so good :)
