Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
You see, I know my husband loves me. But there's a darkness inside of me that remembers when he cheated on me when I was face down in my own vomit. When I was at my lowest of lows following my first botched surgery, he screwed around with other women. He was an Architectural Engineer by day and Stevie Ray Vaughn by night, playing lead guitar in a popular local band. He let his ego get the best of him and lived that lifestyle while I was home alone writhing in pain 6 nights a week. The details are FAR MORE graphic than I care to go into, but I will NEVER be the same. I kicked him out (His mother took him in and encouraged his "affair", allowing his whore to come into her home.) It was Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays of 1994. I spent them alone in the floor in front of my fireplace with Frazier, my Himalayan.
We eventually reconciled with extensive marriage counseling and even renewed our vows on our 15th wedding anniversary. We've now been together 33+ years.
The damage was done and I can't forget. Of course he left the band. ( I piled tens of thousands of dollars worth of his guitar collection, along with amps. etc in our back yard and poured gasoline over it all.) I lit the fire and "celebrated" independence day (Martina McBride song) He came home to a double barrel shotgun pointed at him and forced him to watch as it all burned. He's never touched a guitar again. I'll NEVER trust him again.
I know...it's like my drinking poison and expecting him to die. No, I go through the motions, as he is fundamentally a kind, loving and overly generous man. He "understands" the agony I suffer and makes no demands for intercourse, as I would need Propofol (sic) for that. The holidays just shine a light on the memories. I'm in a horrifically dark place.
Thank you for listening to FAR MORE than I should have said. Yes,
I'll continue to fight for pain management. I called and faxed my ortho yesterday BEGGING for a pain med to get me through until she returns on 12/5. Her nurse was a total cold bitch who seemed to get off on telling me NO.
So I guess it's Moscato for me. Again, thank you and I wish everyone a less painful, perhaps pain-free or "Moscato" happy holiday=)

I have been there, wanting to drive straight into the concrete pillar. If I was alone in the car this week I might have done it myself. I'll drink some Moscato with you.
BE STRONG, sweetie...for now, relax and have that glass of Moscato with me. I shall raise my glass to you and all of us ladies who are in a world of HURT.
