Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

hey ladies.
i have a bit of an odd question, and i have no idea if it relates to my endometriosis.
i'm normally a 97.9 or a 97.8 all the time. just how i've always been. i usually get cold, want to always be under tons of covers when i sleep, have a hoodie with me, etc. for the past two weeks i swear its like i 'm going through menopause (I'm 20. theres no way). i was at the doctors last week and they told me my temp was 99.1. but "Oh its nothing to really worry about you're still a little bit away from a fever".
i'm not sleeping with the covers on anymore. too damn hot! i woke up this morning hot as hell. i need to go buy a thermometer today so i can see what my temp is. its not that i'm running a fever, that wouldn't make much sense since this has been going on for like two weeks.
anyone have any ideas? how do i go from always being cold my whole life (no matter what the temp is outside) to now being HOT?

are you on any medication right now?

there could be a chance that you are just fighting something off or for some reason something is interacting wrong all of a sudden to the meds, it has been known to happen as you body adjusts to things sometimes reactions can happen... definitely keep track of your tempurature and if it continues to stay high I would go back to the dr.. Wish I could be more help

its okay i appreciate it. i wish i knew. it sucks :( i'm waiting on some more blood results from the doctors- the doctor thinks i might have hepatitis c. i swear they better be wrong, because from where i'm coming from i don't see any possible way for me to have it. but if i do have it, that could explain the high temp

Temp changes are normal with endo. Endo effects hormones so it can cause hot flashes.

I have that excat same problem!! I guess I am a cold person too lol. I hate when you go to the doctor & they say you don't have a fever when you really do!! I have no clue what causes it, because whenever my temp is 99.something I don't really feel sick. Maybe a tad bit 'stomach sick' but nothing out of the ordinary. My best guess is possibly from pain meds? I think I have heard that before, but don't quote me on it. & Hep C?! I would attack a doctor if they told me that!! But whatmrsayoung said, it is probably just Endo being Endo. Haha. Feel better!

My acupuncturist says your temps will stay high while your have your period when your endo is acting up because of the inflammatory responce from your body. Usually your temp drops for your period, that's how you know you're not pregnant. SO yes... a temp increase can be from the endo. When I have flare ups, my temps rise too.

I am usually cold until I get my period, then I get hot flashes really bad and have to sleep without covers. Might be related?
