surgery cancelled

So they cancelled my surgery Friday I am STILL going in for a hysteroscopy But not the laparoscopy. Apparently he thinks I have adenomyosis.he said my stomach stuck out and was feeling full (all of which I said yes to) blah blah he said he could continue to treat me with meds or actually do a hysterectomy I stopped him right there and said I don't want anymore medications.I'm done taking this and this and that and being some damn guinea pig and when this doesn't work the pain comes back to when I try something else and that doesn't help so than its ontop something else.

What are your thoughts? kind of nervous about a hysterectomy which is why I just decided to do the hysteroscopy not anything more so I could take more time to think and get ideas. But I've gained so much weight my uterus is swollen and I'm in pain. So I just want time to think. He also said I could do the lap and no worries there either yuck

Yeah hysteroscopy Friday and were gonna go from there. No worries either way I gotta get out of pain this is horrendous where I cant even move at times. I dunno like I said I want to do one thing at a time and go from there I'm really overwhelmed.

Also, please don't think I'm not considering what you guys have to say I am. And I do understand what you're saying!

Alana, please realize that endo is on the outside of the uturus and can therefore only be seen by doing a laproscopy. The hysterscopy just seems like a complete waste of time and money.

However I mentioned that he was looking.for.polyps and he mentioned that sometimes adeno could be seen that way. I realize where endo is found but we're not looking for that right now...

I understand what you mean by the pain being horrendous. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get the relief you're looking for.

It's just that for those of us who've gone thru this so many times it seems you are unnecessarily putting yourself thru more than you need to. It just makes more sense to us to do them at the same time....then you would have all the answers you need to proceed with further treatment or hysterectomy. Yes he may be looking for polyps but he can do that during the hysteroscopy during a lap....I had a hysteroscopy during my last lap and she removed a fibroid I had, she removed endo, and my right ovary.....all in an hour....I was leaving for home three hours after surgery started!
You're in a lot of pain.....prolonging the lap is only going to prolong your pain. Most of us on here had to go thru many years of pain and many different drs before getting the opportunity for a lap so for us it doesn't make sense that you would not do it when given the chance.
I really hope for you that the hysteroscopy is enough to give you answers.
