Thanks for everyone's well wishes yesterday. This forum has been wonderful over the past two months in helping me understand what I'm up against and helping me make sure I had the right doctors on my side.

My lap went great. It took just over two hours. I had implants basically everywhere which were lasered off. I had a lot of adhesions. One of which had adhered my colon to my right ovary. There actually wasn't a chocolate cyst there but the way they were stuck together mimicked it on the ultra sound. My sigmoid colon was adhered to my left wall. All of the adhesions were removed as well.

However they discovered that my appendix was completely engulfed in adhesions. It wasn't even recognizable. It had turned into a hard mass of scar tissue and was also adhered to everything else. A general surgeon was called in to perform an appendectomy.

I was diagnosed with moderate or stage III. He was also glad we got me into surgery quickly instead of a wait and see approach.

The doctor was very confident that I should have some relief and that with how much they removed be a very good candidate for controlling it with a constant birth control.
