Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I've been wondering why I've been feeling so bad this week with IBS, fatigue, and headaches, and last night I started spotting, so I think that must be why. I feel like I should maybe just get off of my birth control for a few days and let my period happen, especially since I need to have it before my lap but I'm afraid it's going to ruin my Christmas. What would you do?
Which leads me to another question, how come you need to have a period before your lap? My doctors had never said anything to me about that so I'm just wondering and concerned that I won't be able to have one before my surgery since I'm on depo.
This how thing is still scary to me, I just want to get the surgery over with.
But, if you think having your period during Christmas would make you miserable more than it would actually help you maybe you could put it off till like a day or two after.

Is there enough time before your lap to have your period immediately following Christmas? That's what I am doing, probably going to stop the pills the day after Christmas. The spotting for me is quite significant, if it was really small and intermittent I would probably keep taking them...but it's constant and varying degrees of heaviness.
And to Pookey - I am not sure if this is why in this case but a lot of women try to time it just before a lap so they can have the longest amount of time to recover before having their cycle again since the first cycle or two after a lap can be quite painful.
I would get through the holidays then have a period asap after, mainly because I cramp so badly during my period that I pass out and thats really embarrasing in front of family!
