I'd go straight to a specialist if possible. I know how you feel about lack of care. I went to several doctors who didn't give a crap and never believed a word I said. But after a long time of searching, I finally found one and I'm doing much better. We're in opposite parts of the country, so I can't suggest any docs to you, but I do hope you find one who really helps you and can treat you!!

Hi - go to a specialist if you possibly can. After 10 years of endless doctors, tests, referrals to psychiatrists, etc. I finally found a specialist who made me cry with relief. There are doctors who care and understand! I am in California, so I don't have any specific referrals, but if you visit http://www.endometriosisassn.org/advisors.html there is a list. So I called a specialist who is on ob/gyn and reproductive endocrineologist. She has studied pcos and endometriosis. They got me in with here wednesday(tomorrow)!!!!! I am excited but my hhead is spinning! And I tried calling previous doctors and none will release my records with written consent _ so I can't even bring my records.
I made a list of everything I feel and have felt... Related and unrelated to pcos. Because half the time I feel something and it feels normal and then I find out everyone with pcos or endo feel that and its not normal...
Anyone have any suggestions?what to ask? Thanks for the support! Wish me luck!

Im so glad you were able to get an appt so fast. :). You can always give the new doc your records later... request that your old doc send them directly to your new doc. Im sure when you get there you will be able to tell the doc everything that has been going on. I know it is nerve wrecking but let the fact that you will be seeing a specialist comfort you a bit. I was seeing a specialist in CT, not sure how close this would be to you, His name is Dr. Anthony Luciano, practices at the Hospital of Central CT. I have nothing but remarkable things to say about the care I received. He is a reproductive Endocrinologist and one of the top MD's in the country who specializes in endo, also teaches at the University of CT. He was the first physician that I saw that took the time to listen to me and understood what I was going through, struggling with endo and infertility. I am a Registered Nurse by profession and appreciate the care and wonderful 'bedside manner' , his daughter also practices with him. One of the things I dreaded about moving was that I would have to find another physician- he will be hard to replace. Good Luck to you!
