Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I to was very nervous about my laparoscopy (this was my first). I was praying a lot and just let it all go and handed it over to God. I was calm the day of surgery. My husband helps keep me calm as well.
I would recommend getting the records from your last surgery and when the anesthesia doctor comes in to talk to you before surgery, make sure that they know you about your previous experience after surgery. Hopefully, the anesthesia dr can find a good balance for you.
Glad to know I'm not the only who does this. Unfortunately the records don't say much about what happened in recovery but I will make sure that the anesthesiologist is well aware. I'm trying to stay calm but it's scary knowing that next my surgery next Wednesday is only a few days away.
