Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Every once in a while I get these shooting pains in my vagina and rectum. It's not normally both at the same time.. usually just one or the other. It's like a weird, hot needle like pain that comes and goes. I read somewhere that the pain sounds like weak pelvic floor muscles or pelvic prolapse. I really hope not, but if it is the case, could it be due to endometriosis? Does anyone else have this problem, or heard of someone who has?

I used to, but haven't had it in awhile. I had it a lot before my surgery and in the months after it. Then it kind of went away on its own. Oh, the joys of endo! Hope it goes away soon!

Thanks for responding! That's reassuring that it's probably not prolapsing organs, lol. Not sure why but ever since I read that I've been afraid that's what it is. I have my first lap on Thursday. I'm hoping he completely cleans me out and all these weird and nasty pains go away.

I have that off and on a lot sense I was about 13. I'm sorry that you do too. I don't think bit is anything serious my doc hasn't said that it was.

I didn't think anything about it until I started having them off and on all day long for the last 4 days. Usually it's just once in a while, like once every couple of weeks. But now its been everyday. It's driving me insane.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
