Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

I've had three lap' surgeries for my endometriosis. I experience a lot of pain, tugging, tearing feelings, and pulling around the time before my period and wondered if this was all of the scar tissue build up from the endo, AND the surgery corrections, or if you think it could be something more severe. I know that my left ovary and tube were attached to my bowel, do you think they could've damaged the bowel? I tried to get answers from my gyne, and he felt that it's just scar tissue. I'm just tired of feeling the constant pain every month before my period! The OBGYN that did my D&C for my miscarriage, said that my endo looked pretty good still. What would you make of all of the pain that I'm still feeling every month then??

oh yes. I have the least amount of endo out of everyone I've talked to, but the pain is still unbearable. I had a lap Aug 06 and there was little endo spots here and there. 3 weeks ago, I had a hysterectomy, and the patches of endo were small, but spread around. The burning and pulling can still be harsh, no matter how little endo is there. Sorry!!

At least I don't feel like it's all in my head anymore! I felt like I was becoming crazy! The tearing feeling is always so bad that I think I have an impacted bowel or something stupid every month! I just assumed that the endo pain would clear and that would be it. Now I have the scar tissue pain. At least I know.

I had scar tissue build up after my first lap (which actually also resulted in major abdominal surgury). A year later, the scar tissue had built up around my intestines and clamped them suck. Scar tissue pain and endo pain feel almost identical--which really sucks. I just felt them in different parts of the body. After my second lap, my doc recomended that I excercise. This keeps the scar tissue from building up. Try swimming and see if that helps. If it doesn't, try seeing a different doctor. A CT scan can also confirm if there is scar tissue. Take care and God bless!

I also get really bad pulling sensations and tearinf feelings on my right side. I keep getting cysts on my ovaries as well as have endo on that side as well. I actually have to limp when I walk so it doesn't feel like the pulling sensation is so bad. It's so painful though, I feel with all of you;

I have had three prior laps too and have major scar tissue....I get that pulling feeling and I still get that bee like stinging sensation too!! Just like KArm3007, I had very little endo but it was very painful but I am still going through a bunch of testing to see what else is wrong with my abdomen too!! It is very painful every month before and during my period because of this!
