Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

I finally am seeing an endo specialist next week. Now that the appt is finally coming up, I'm forgetting what questions to ask. What questions would you make sure to ask?
Here's a rundown on me:
Had surgery to dx endo in Dec. I know I had it for about 5 years prior to that, with increasing symptoms. I refused Lupron, went on the pill.
Had horrible uterine and ovarian pain in Jan and Feb.
Symptoms seem to come and go. Sometimes i have bladder pain, sometimes it is ovarian pain, uterine pain, intestinal pain, etc.
Lately, however my pain has been better which makes me feel silly going now. But this doc takes months to get in to see, so I don't want to cancel. I am, however, struggling with nausea and ovarian pressure.
So...what would you make sure to ask?

Do not cancel your appt. When you go in say you are in the same amount of pain you have told us about here. Ask for an ultrasound because the pressure could be from an ovarian cyst(s). Have you seen a GI specialist just to rule out anything GI related? Your gyn can refer you. Look into pelvic floor therapy (gyn can also refer you). Tight pelvic floor muscles can also cause alot of the symptoms you describe.

also ask them to examine you post-surgery. Mine poked around my stomach to make sure everything was a-ok. It's good to establish a baseline with the doctor so that you can get an emergency appointment as needed.

What always helps me is to make a list before going to my doctor. I write down symptoms, questions, concerns, etc. and bring the list with me. That way you don't miss anything and regret it later.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
