Question from urgent care

Hi all, I'm sitting here in event care waiting to see a dr. And thought I'd check with you guys to see what your input would be concerning what had happened to me early this morning. U went to bed around 11pm, woke up in excruciating pain around 1am. Not my normal endo pain but sharp stabbing pain below my left breast and it hurt the worse when I tried to breath in. It felt plurisy like and lasted about 20 minutes. Once I breathed through the pain and it went away I was nauseated and could not go back to sleep for about an hour. Then I woke up at my normal hour this morning but was really sweaty. I called Kaiser and the triage nurse said to go to urgent care. I did just start low dose birth control 2 weeks ago to hopefully keep down pain and spreading/ worsening of my endo. Has this happened to any of you? I have also had a strange smokers cough for about 6 months and I don't smoke. I've also had bloody yellow mucus on and off when I blow my nose and in my lung junk for about 6 months. Every dr I complain to says it just a virus that hasn't gone away. What would you guys do? I hate dr.s as they never ever know what's wrong with me and I leave feeling more lame and helpless.

That sounded like a cyst ruptured until you talked about the smokers coough. I think you should have that checked out asap. You need to go to a pulmonary specialist for that (they deal with the lungs).

I agree it sounds exactly like you had a cyst rupture (except the cough...maybe that's unrelated?). I know when it happens to me the pain radiates all the way up to my ribs. Good luck!

Endo can also get into your lungs-it can get anywhere. You should maybe mention this to your RE or OB/GYN, and maybe they'll order you an X-Ray of your lungs to see if theres any masses (endo). It sounds like the pain you're having is lower than your lungs, but because of the coughing, and blood and mucus, and the fact that is sounds like the pain is close to your lungs, its definitely something to talk to your Dr. about.
Its rare to have endo there, but my Dr. suspects I have it in my lungs as well (due to my symptoms), and have to get the X-ray. My aunt has it in her lungs; she has a hard time breathing...when she laughs hard, she needs an inhaler, and she has the smokers cough and she isnt a smoker, Im not sure what other symptoms she has from it. Basically, its rare to have it in your lungs, but can definitely happen.
I do know, if endo gets in the lungs, it can cause blood to come out of your mouth, and im assuming your nose, especially during your period. Have you noticed if it worsens with your period?
Its definitely something to pursue further. Like the other replies said, and probably more likely, it could also be a cyst. In any case, its important you talk to a Dr.
