That's funny I have often wondered about the propylene glycol also, not really related to endo but just in general since it is essentially antifreeze and it's a lot of things like EYE drops!

I just read that its in some ice creams as well. ugh,

Have you tried Ava Anderson's deodorant? You have to find someone that sells it, but all of their products are non-toxic.

At this point, NOTHING surprises me...I've told my husband for years that I truly believe that one day before I die battling this wicked disease, there will be an "OOPS...We could have prevented this". I am so deeply saddened for ALL of us who suffer the pain, loss and hope for what "could have been".

I have tucked my tail between my legs (ouch) and laid down in submission for months now. I am having no success whatsoever with my last bastion of hope...Pain Management. My doctor is from Southern Egypt...not Southern Mississippi...so we don't click. I have absolutely been through the fires of hell on earth since January 27. I am beginning to feel the side effects of intense opiates subside, which I never thought I'd see. However, my pain remains anything BUT managed. I've lurked in and out here for months, rarely posting because of my intense homicidal/suicidal emotions. Pup lost his fucking funny bone. I'm steady digging to find it.

I just had to comment on the "ice cream". Marlaina...Say it ain't so!? My bucket list has a new addition since seeing the ad for Breyers gelato...I personally (JMO) cannot bog myself further down with the "contents" of the FEW things in life I enjoy. My husband begs me to gain some quality of life through better "chemistry". He's brought me "herbs" which I just can't make myself do (though you all know I adore Wilfred the dog and his obnoxious antics). HE cracks me up, though downright lewd and socially inacceptable. My husband bought me the Wilfred costume (complete with groovy little "inhaler" and herbs) for Christmas. It helps me find my funny bone...go figure. I wouldn't USE the props, just the costume. So, last week a quart of locally homemade Apple Pie "shine" appeared on our kitchen island. It's as smooth as silk and more potent than the anti-freeze, but damn it's good stuff...Don't even need the ice cream=)

All I can tell you is about the propoleyne glychol I know about. I work in an electronic vapor store as a second job, plenty of sitting so I can manage it. There are two kinds of this product from what I know. One is the antifreeze you are talking about and one is a food grade product which appears in food as well as one of four ingredients of the mixes we sell out of the cape shop. As far as I know, that is the safe one and I personally haven't had any issues with it since I have been vaping. That isn't to say though that it isn't affecting you since I have heard about special no product diets being a lifesaver for those with Endo.

@ Speckledpup-Sending hugs your way!! I hope that there is a cure for this is found stat!! I'm so frustrated by this as well. I think its the cheaper brands of ice creams that I've seen it in. They say that they use it to make sure that the ice cream doesn't freeze solid when you put it in the freezer and keeps it at a soft serve consistency. I think maybe the Hershey brand company might use it? I decided this past shopping trip to just give in and buy one of those new ben and jerry's core pints where they have 2 different flavored ice creams and the core down the middle is pure jam, fudge, or caramel. (heavenly btw) and my mom bought a quart of Bryers recently and I just read the labels and nether of those brands contain it. I think unfortunately its all about label reading these days. That is my issue in the grocery store these days is all the time it now takes me to read the labels of everything to make sure theres nothing in it that will bother my endo. Ugh...

I also work for a local college that has a big Eco Studies program and one of the students actually studied and put out a report on how some companies (I think Choboni was one) They claim that they are all organic and natural etc, but they still let their cows/chickens eat gmo'd soy, corn, etc products and its not an FDA law that they disclose this to the pubic and they are still allowed to sell these things with these labels. Its really discerning how companies can get away with all of this crap. :(
