Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Well today is the first i've actually been up!!
Went to the hospital for the post op..
Dr found endometrosis which he suspects was left there from the last surgery. This sorta annoys me because a couple months after my last lap I told my (previous) gynea that i was still getting the pain etc. He said it was in my head... how wrong he was!!
My Dr also did some clean up work from the last surgery and actually.. get read for this.. when he inserting the instruments (i think doing the hysteroscopy, apparently I tore... OUCH. similar to when you have a baby and normally they cut you down there to prevent tearing... So he said that will be causing a lot of your pain. I have a lot of stitches down there. He also took the time to widen my cervix as well, so have more stitches there hehe. He said he might as well have done it there and then because it will improve any future scans, internal examinations, having a baby etc.
He really went to work on my bladder, he looked at the inside and outside. stretched it out, poked around, filled it up etc. And he said everything looked fine. This is whne I said to him since the op, my bladder has been so bad and so much worse. He said not to worry its from all the investigation he did because he really looked and stretched it out. He said it will get better has the bladder heals from that. So that was reassuring.
He said the Mirena has been placed perfectly. He said he was half expecting me to come to him today and tell him to take it out because of the pain. To be honest the pain is nothing I can't handle for a while because the pain i've had everyday for so long. He was so pleased I was very willing to give it a try. He really thinks this will help me. I personally think its better then being on the pill. It is giving me cramps but i'm taking constant pain killers. So many girls don't give it enough time to settle down for whatever reason but i'm willing to stick it out as long as i can because constant BC pills didn't really help me.
So there it is, i'm seeing him again in 3 weeks and might be perscribed some bladder meds again so we'll see. Now that he has the bigger picture i believe he knows what hes doing.
Phewww. i am still in bed most of the time because of all the pain and healing going on. Hehe. Parts of my stomach where they went in and are black and yellow which is icky from bruising but are my "batttle scars".

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...

I am a little disturbed that he tore you while inserting instruments. They have told me I am incredibly small and I had two serious surgeries and never a tear. Weird. maybe that was due to the bladder stuff.
But it sounds like he got all the endo at least!
