Its been 7 months since my surgery, the first 3 were terrible. The next 3 got a lot better and now this whole month so far I have been in pain everyday.... and Im not on my period. I am unable to take any form of birth control b/c my body doesn't do so well on any medication. All I do take is Motrin 800 bc anything stronger makes me throw up. I am just wondering if anyone else had this problem with there first surgery? Im in a lot of pain now and Im not sure if I want to do another surgery anytime soon.

I almost feel like because my body has tolerated so much pain for the past 10 years, I almost got use to it. But because I had a few months with little to no pain.... it now feels 10 times worse bc my body hadn't been use to it for a few months. I guess Im just fed up with this disease. I just dont know what to do. :(

I ordered my TENS machine, which I haven't received yet. I have not tried acupuncture yet. I just have to look for alternative treatments b/c I cant take medication and I am the type of person that listens to my body. My friend yelled at me for only trying the pill for a week, but when your throwing up for 5 days straight and cant keep anything down... you stop taking it.

Im just not sure what to do and the pain has not gone away or let up at all this month.... Im scared to see what my period this month has in store for me. :(

Im sorry to hear that. I had surgery 7 months ago too. I am pregnant now however. My pain / symptoms were just worse after the surgery (I had laser which Im hearing isnt always good). My pain was never severe thankfully, but the surg just made things worse in those same problem areas. Now I am pregnant and things are better but my round ligament pain has been kinda bothersome at times. I still have some of my same symptoms too. Ive learned that Pregnancy you can still have pain / symptoms related to your endo from scar tissue etc. My cramps are better however now that Im pregnant.

Can I ask you exactly what your endo pain is like? Where it is located. does it have a side? Is it sharp, cramps, does it last all through the month or just around your period? My periods were never bad, I started having ovulation pains though. My lap revealed endo on both ovaries and scattered all about in the typical areas. He said there was a decent amount but it wasnt deep really. My right side (ovary) bothers me significantly more than the other side.

There are a few different pains, one is a stabbing that feels like its in my vagina bone and it hurts so bad and comes so fast that it takes my breath away. The other is a throbbing pain on my left side, my left ovary is unrecognizable due to how much damage the endo caused to it. I have been having this pain for about a week and I am not on my period. I shouldn't start till the end of the month. My husband and I were ttc for about 2 years and decided to take a break from it. We were both tried of the negative after negative test results. Congrats for you though!

I just wish this pain would stop, its awful! :(

Im so sorry you are struggling so much in both areas. I can def relate to the throbbing. do you ever feel a pressure in your ovary area too?
Before your surgery was your pain / symtoms anytime in the month or just aorund your period?

I alway have felt pressure on my ovaries. But I normal only had pains during my period. Like I said this is all very new to me. I have never in my life had so much pain when I wasnt even on my period. I mean before the surgery I would get little pains here and there but not like this.

I feel ya. my surgery I felt like it did me worse. Since Im pregnant now I feel better I think but I have pregnancy pains now! We can never win. Glad your on here getting support. There is alot to learn, and Im learning not ever Gyno knows everything about endo. They can be quite ignorant actually. I think as time goes by its being exposed as the mysterious disease it is! its just so different for so many women and alot of the old wives tales have miss lead so many docs and women...

I hope so, I dont know how much more pain I can take. Its one thing to be prepared for pain during your period, but this new pain randomly I cant seem to grip! Thank you for your help and support.
