For 3 years I thought I had Vertigo, feeling off balance... running into walls. Constantly feeling nauseated from it. I have Stage 3 Endo and found out last year that I had a Vitamin D Def. Please get yours checked. Normal range is 30-40, I was a level 9. Now every week I have to take 50,000 units of Vitamin D. If I dont take it on time, the problems come right back.

I have just bought some vitamin D today actually. Do they test vit D with a full blood count or do they have to do a specific test because i have just had my bloods done,fbc,thyroid,hormones,u&e's and glucose and all were ok.
I don't know for sure if i have endo because i had a transvaginal scan and she said i had a cyst on my left ovary and what looked like possible endo. I am waiting to see a gynecologist.

Okay well you have to get a blood test specifically for Vitamin D. Also they CANNOT see possible Endo on a trans vaginal scan. The only way they can see it is through a Lap surgery. I wish this wouldnt be true, but it is. Before I was diagnosed I had Trans vaginal ultra sounds, MRI's, CAT scans, ultra sounds. Each one came back fine. Then I had the Lap surgery done and they found Stage 3 Endo.

Thats why on average it takes 8-11 years to be diagnosed. Because there is no other way to diagnose it without surgery.

Make sure you have your D checked though, if it is low, the D prescription makes a world of difference. The vitamins you bought are probably 1,000 units. If you have a D Def. like I do you will need some that are much higher in units. :)

If you can't see endo on a transvaginal scan i wonder what the patches were she could see?

I have no idea, but all Doctors should know that. You cant see Endo on any tests. Thats why its so rough getting diagnosed. As far as what she seen on the trans vaginal ultra sound, I have no idea.... :( Good luck at the doctor though.

This is such an interesting topic for me, My vertigo is so bad at the moment and this is literally within the last month or two..I stumble, drop things my balance is so bad =( Jase is even making mention to it!
So a Vit D deff could be an issue?

It sure Can Tatum. I dealt with Doctors telling my I had Vertigo for over a year. Until my mother in-law that is a nurse told me to get my D Checked bc she knew that dizziness was a symptom of that. Now I have to deal with my body not absorbing it like it should, which is why I have to take 50,000 units a week.

Also I was a vegan for a year and that made a huge difference on the vitamins I was getting in my diet. But its important to check. :)

I've noticed it as i said the last month or two..even Jase has commented, I see my doc (gyn) on the 22nd, lets see what he has to say! Still no explaination from him for the estrogen but I havn't seen him in awhile so I'll see what the go is.

I would definitely see a doctor about this especially if it's acute. It can be anything from benign like anemia (well not really for me) or Meniere's disease or stroke or a tumor. If you have any symptoms like numbness, weakness, double vision, loss of vision, trouble walking you need to go to the emergency room.

If this is a chronic problem and you've always had this headache, then there may be less worry. Nonetheless, it would be at least wise to get a CT scan of the head as a start. Then, you may need further imaging like a MRI scan of the brain and a MRA to visualize the vessels.

I have migraine with the worst symptoms being dizziness, nausea and off balance. Sometimes I don't have a headache and when I do they are not what I would think of as "Migraine". It took 5 years and many tests before I was diagnosed.
I don't think endo has anything to do with it, but hormones are a huge trigger for me.
I too had a vitamin D deficiency and B12
I've had ovarian cysts too - don't think it's related.

I've had vertigo for about 16 years. I got it while on an airplane. The worst times are when it's gonna rain or snow and won't lift until the storm is half way through and on it's way out. Even if it's humid it can get bad!

I had vertigo for about a year, after I got my hormones in order( got off premarin, which is made from horses urine) and on bio identical, I did have a hyst though, but wonder if its hormonal related?

This is why I LOVE this site. I always feel dizzy and off balance and never understood why. I recently found out my vitamin D levels were low and I never attributed this to that. How interesting! I'm anxious to see if starting the vitamin D will help.
