Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
seems like every month, my period brings some new symptom. last month was hell, i had a cyst rupture right after and i was in ridiculous pain before it ruptured. Now i have the normal back pain but it's traveling down my behind and back of my thighs. Seriously? I cuddled with my heating pad for a good half hour before i pried myself out of bed to take some meds and making myself get ready for work. i think if someone looks at me wrong today i might burst into tears. *sigh*
I have my doc appt today to discuss Lap. I'm teetering right on the edge, i am pretty sure i don't want to just be put on BCP and not know what exactly is going on. My grandmother had ovarian cancer at the age 40 so just thinking of that freaks me out and i really really wanna know what my insides are doing. it's just hearing his opinion and then trying to decide what doc to go with. My regular doc is only part time right now (medical issues) and is not doing surgeries. He's referring patients to his partner who i don't care for. and i'm trying to decide if i want to go with him anyway or find another doc.

His suggestion was twofold. or really, threefold. and i like it. he said he feels i would do well to have an ablation at the same time to try and get rid of the periods altogether. So Ablation, Tubal and check out any endo growth and remove it at the same time. I'm on board with it..... but he really wants to put me on Lupron if he finds endo and i'm still not sure how i feel about that. Lots to think about and talk over with the H. Will schedule my lap soon, just have to align my schedule with my hubby, he's going overseas for a few weeks so i guess waiting till he's back.
Vana, he did mention that he does typically add back while on Lupron. he didn't go a ton into detail about it, just said that if he finds endo then we can discuss it in detail after surgery. my husbands trip was postponed, possibly cancelled so i'm calling today to try and get it scheduled ASAP. Hopefully before my next cycle!
