I know I haven't posted in a while. I have felt so hopeless and alone and have just felt like I should grin and bear it but I just cant.
The doctor that I used to see and performed my lap 2 years ago was amazing. When it was time to go back to the obgyn, I found that she moved to another state. I recently met with another obgyn at the practice she left and first had a weird feeling about him but let it go. I told him about all the pain I have been having from my endo and how I am always exhausted and my poor boyfriend is suffering because we cannot be intimate without me ending up nearly in tears in pain.
The new doctor told me that there is no proof that my fatigue or exhaustion is from the endo, where my old doctor told me endo can lead to fatigue so I was really confused. He was reluctant to refill my prescription for tramadol which helps with the pain a little bit and said he doesn't want me relying on pain medicine. He sighed and said "well, we have 2 options" and presented the option of another lap which would cause more scar tissue or lupron depot. he described lupron as a shot that would put me into menopause for 6 months to a year along with many other side effects. one of the side effects is bone density loss and osteoperosis runs in my family so i don't like the idea of that shot. when i called to see if i can see a different doctor for another opinion they said they cannot get me in until may.
I am considering just seeing my primary care dr for his opinion on all this or if he can refer me to anybody else quicker. If anyone has thoughts on all this, especially the lupron depot shot I would truly appreciate it. I am at my wits end and just want to go home and curl up and cry.

I think if you're primary care doctor seems like the type to take the time and review all your details and point you in the right direction then that is a great idea. I wished I had a good primary care doc many times the last few years to run things by, but due to moving and such I never had one I made any sort of connection with.
You could also call your old doctor's new office if possible and leave her a message asking if there is someone she would recommend. Since you liked her so well, she is likely to recommend someone similar to her practice style.
