Hi! I just got my first lupron shot yesterday and was wondering how long it took to kick in? It's been a few years since I have been on it and I don't remember. I have had a bad headache ALL day and nothing has helped it. Maybe it's the Lupron?

it takes a few weeks. the first 2 weeks it puts your estrogen into overdrive before it shutsdown the production from your ovaries, so you might feel worse with the first shot...it should be helping by the second one though. ~jen

My fiance had the lupron on 2 seperate occasions 6 months each. She just told me she didnt notice a pain reduction for about a month

It took until my second shot before it started working (and the first month was really bad). But as soon as I got the second shot, it was great.

I am new to the group, hopefully there are still some active users here?? I recently received the lupron injection two weeks ago. May 1oth to be specific. I had been bleeding extremely bad prior to that, once i received the shot, i had no bleeding at all. yesterday i started experiencing what felt like contractions, throughout the night up until now, along with moderate bleeding to heavy bleeding with very small clotting. Just from reading previous comments, it says "breakthrough" bleeding is common after the first shot and thereafter it should halt or reduce. Just want to hear from some other women about their experiences, can you relate???

I'm on round three and I'm still bleeding. Every time I ask how much longer? I'm told it could be up to six months for the pain & bleeding to stop!!I already have an IUD & this is my last hope before they want to do a hysterectomy & also ostomy bag to repair my dead intestines that the Endo strangled:(

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
