Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

Hello girls,
I really feel like encouraging you guys today. I think it's important to hear the good stuff as well as the bad stuff here.
As all of you must know by now i had my second lap 4 weeks ago. I am already starting to feel the difference which is amazing.
This was not the case after my first lap a year ago!
I'm not saying that everything is perfect right now, but there has been improvements and i think it's good to celebrate these small victories.
For example, I have been able to have normal Bowel Movements for the first time in over a year. This is a miracle in itself. I am not straining and pushing to the point of almost blacking out, neither am I losing everything I eat. (I do still have some of the high dose antibiotics in my system and my body is still trying to get normal from that). Now they didn't find endo on my bowel but in the cul-de-sac, which definitely supports the argument that endo can severely affect your bowels even if it's not directly on it. (goes for bladders too).
My bladder has also improved, not quite to the point where I would like it to be but let's put it this way, I'm not going to the bathroom 30+ times a day and it's a rarity if i have to get up in the night and go. This is such a miracle in itself because i could never fall to sleep completely during the night because of having to get up 4 times to pee.
Not sure if some of you know this, but I had to be rushed into surgery because they were really really concerned about my bladder and what they might find in there. There was unsaid concern of cancer which I tried to stay positive about.
As some of you know, I'm a christian. I have a pretty awesome story to tell you about my bladder, but in no way am i trying to push my faith or anything on you guys because I know people have many different beliefs. i'm just speaking from my experience. I went to church the day before I got the call they needed me into surgery the next day. A lady was doing a talk and at the end she wanted to pray for people, it was a pretty normal meeting until she said "When I was praying last night about this morning, God really put the word "Bladder" on my heart." And I was like no way, that's not something you hear in a lot of churches, the word Bladder. She had no idea of my situation or anything like that. So at the end we prayed together and it was really encouraging. The next day out of the blue and quite miraculously i got the call to say I would be going into the hospital the next day. After the surgery the Dr was happy to tell me he could not find anything in my bladder and it was perfectly normal. This was the best news ever. In my heart I really believe God healed my bladder and that there was something seriously wrong until they went in and had a look. I just thought that's a pretty awesome story to share, whether you believe or not it's fine. But miracles really do and can happen :)
Anyway, the pain that I was having everyday has decreased quite a lot which is a total life changer for me. i'm still a lil sore from the op and have been having mirena-cramps. But even they have started to dull now. Things "down and up there" lol are also sore and that's really the area have to watch for the most because of the extensive work they did there.
In no way am I saying everything is fine and dandy and I feel 100% but I am rejoicing in the fact that I can definitely see improvements!!!
Keep your heads up girls and don't give up hope. i was so discouraged after my first lap and was told everything under the sun like i had crohn's, it's all in my head, your depressed, IBS etc.
So i am praying that the after-effects of the lap keep getting better and i am able to finally have a wonderful year at college/university. I have to say after all the horror stories of the mirena it's been totally fine except the crampings. I am so glad i went through with it!!
Thank you for all your support, i am so blessed to have friends like you. :)
