Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Has anyone had double procedures at once?
I know you can have cystoscopy awake but the Dr said my situation would never allow me to be awake for it. So they are doing it all at once. Which is pretty fine with me.
My last Laparoscopy, i had severe urinary retention. Which caused them to quickly put in a catheter. After they took it out (in the morning) took me a couple more hours to pee. Never been so scared lol. Anyway, now that my bladder is much much worse then before the last lap, I'm scared of what's going to happen. I might ask for a catheter to be inserted during the surgery as I have read this is common when having a cystoscopy.
Has anyone suffered from urinary retention after surgery etc? What has helped you?
Any suggestions would be great so that I can prepare hehe.

its common for women to get both at once. i wish i could help more but i dont have any experience with urinary retention. btw it may take awhile to urinate since the anesteshia puts the bladder to "sleep" as well.
