The holidays are always hard. I'm single with no kids, although I would love to be married with a family. I'm 30. Doctors have told me time is ticking. My sisters both have many kids and those kids are the apple of my parents' eyes. They bring such joy to them.

We were all together making Christmas cookies when I started to feel really sick. I went to lie down. I can just tell no one really knows what to say. I don't know what I want to hear. I really didn't want to explain to my dad and brother-in-law what was causing me to feel so crappy. They don't get it. I mean, they know about endo and everything, but just don't understand the impact it has on my life. I just feel like a failure not being able to give my parents grandkids. Makes me so sad. I don't really want to talk about all my issues with them because it is embarrassing and makes me feel broken. But I just feel so alone.

I'm so sorry you are having a hard night!! I feel very alone too. No one around me really gets it either! (My best friend took me for my 4th lap and ovary removal....I think she finally got how serious it is seeing me like that!)

I'm so sorry that you're feeling alone. I can't say that I totally understand, because I'm not ready for kids yet. But I understand how isolating endo can be. I wish I knew what to say to make you feel better. Just know that we're all thinking of you and know at least partially how you're feeling. I hope that you can enjoy the holidays as much as possible.

I completely understand. I just turned 33 am single and have already lost an ovary. The ultrasound tech the other day told me it looks like I'll end up losing my other one soon and I better hurry up and have children. My brother has a 9 month old baby boy and my mom just adores him (which she should). But she says things that hurt without realizing it. The holidays are hard for sure. I tried bakig today too but it can't change what I'm really feeling inside. I'm tired of the physical pain as well as the mental and emotional pain. No one I know personally understands. I'm spending Christmas alone and in pain. I'm sorry you have to go through this too.

It's true this disease is so isolating because nobody gets it. They think you are just complaining about some silly period or something. So, like most of you, you just end up giveing up on explaining and put on a happy face for the world. The truth is is that none of us owe an explaination to anyone. I am glad to have found this group to talk with. STAY STRONG LADIES AND HANG IN THERE AND KEEP PUSHING FOR ANSWERS AND THE HELP YOU NEED. Hugs. :)

I am sorry you are feeling this way. I understand how you feel though. No one around me gets it, even my fiance, he tries but he will never understand. We both desperatly want children and would be open to having one now but we both have major student loans to pay so with those we cant afford child care (it is very expensive in MA as is going to school in ma). So we are going to try waiting, but im 31 and he is almost 32. We have already been told we will likely need ivf and luckily we live in a state that requires most insurances to cover it, but by the time we are finically ready im afraid it will be too late. I have cried about this more times than I can count...

We are here for you. We all understand what it is like to live with this horrible disease, it sucks.

I'm sorry, baby girl...really. I wish I could reach through the "ether" and give you a big ole bear hug. I've been caught up in my own personal "pursuit of relief" before my insurance deductible is naught in January.

Believe me, I KNOW what you're feeling. I WISH I could tell you that it gets better...but I would be lying, in my case. My hope for all of you younger ladies is that early diagnosis and conservative treatment can restore your quality of life.

If not, I pray that you find the wisdom to be aggressive with your treatment options and save yourself from a future of even more intense pain and heartache.
