Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
i start my eriod in one to two days and im in my migraine phase now. excruciating.. in bed all day and also cant move. my migrains stream from my inside lower back area.. crazy ! got lower back cramps too.
rub some 'deep heat' like a menthol on your tummy and lower back (if that hurts too)... trust me, it's goood !, smelly, but good.
maybe smell some lavander too which helps calm. put in an oil burner, or spray on pillow, or put some oil on a cotton bud and put under nose.
if it hurst to sit use foam under your bottom to ease the preassure...

My bladder meds are now making it harder to pee which is the tip of the iceberg lol.

"During each menstrual period, if there is no sperm to fertilize the egg, the uterus contracts to expel its lining. This process is driven by the release of hormone-like substances called prostaglandins, which are associated with pain and inflammation in higher levels. These uterine contractions cause much of the pain felt during menstrual cramps because the contractions inhibit blood flow to the lining of the uterus (the endometrium). In addition, substances known as leukotrienes are also elevated during menstruation, and they may be a cause of menstrual cramps."
The reason we all suggest the 'endo diet' is because it enhances GOOD prostaglandins and inhibits BAD prostaglandins, which in turn lessens cramps. This is also why anaprox/antiinflammatories work so well on cramps, they fight prostaglandins if used before the cramping is too bad and throughout.
Speak to your doctor about trying anaprox if you can. You can get double dose 550mg and if taken at the FIRST sign of pain you may notice a HUGE difference.
Also, avoid caffeine, alcohol and fried foods, which also increase cramps.
Take care sweetie,
Lovebyrd
