I'm sorry but the state of maine sucks, it absolutely sucks. Its not my fault that you don't know how to manage your budget and I'm tired of how you take it out on the little guy that can't afford anything, you have no jobs or industry here, your cutting schools budgets and now health care. Like I said, I'm sorry that you can't manage your budget, but its not my damn problem.

So here's whats going on....and this isn't the first time its happened. The first time I was on MaineCare (state aided health care) I had stage 3b breast cancer at the age of 26 and they revoked my coverage in the middle of my treatments, because the state was having financial problems, so of course Healthcare and Education is the first thing they cut which makes perfect sense. They said I made too much money, I was too young to have breast cancer, and they came up with a barrage of other crap until I was forced to move out of state so I could finish my cancer treatments. I'm still miffed by this..

Anyway fast forward to today. I unfortunately do to unforeseen circumstances had to move back here and wish I had the money to leave. However when I first moved back here I had to fight to get MaineCare again, I had to call my local Senators office to be able to get put back on. Things were going well until just recently.

I started getting my endo and bad cystic ovaries last summer and started my lupron treatment in Sept. I'm doing the 1 month shot for 6 months. Unfortunately Lupron is my only option as its non hormonal and won't cause any issues with the whole breast cancer thing.

And the cycle has now gone and repeated itself again. I went to the pharmacy to pick up my lupron shot to get it injected on Tues, The pharmacy tech said that MaineCare won't let me have the shot because its a day early in there book so they had to send it back to the warehouse, but she would reorder it and I could pick it up the next day. Wednesday. The shot never came in on Wednesday so I had to wait till Thursday. I go over to pick it up again and I go to pay for it. Normally around 4 dollars co-pay...I nearly shit a brick when she said that'll be $916.95, WHAT????!!!! I said what is this about? I've never had to pay full price for Lupron. So she looks into it and apparently Mainecare doesn't have to give you any notification they can switch your plans without your consent or knowledge and they dropped me again to catastrophic only.

I don't know what to do. I can't afford almost 1,000 for this shot, This makes me so angry, How can they get way with not giving you proper notification about your health care? Thats not right. My doc is going to see what she can do about getting me some samples and I'm going to try to contact my senator again on Monday, but I'm so freaking angry...Its not my problem that you don't know how to manage a budget. If my endo and cystic ovaries flair up I really don't know what I'll do because I have no insurance so I can't finish my lupron treatments, I won't be able to afford any surgeries.

I'm so angry that they did this and I don't know what to do.....
