Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Sorry, I've been lurking quietly in the background for a couple of weeks. It may have actually been a "gift" to those of you who have to read my incessant bitching and psychotic dark humor.
I won't go into the lengthy detail...but for now I do have some pain relief. Santa brought me that WILFRED suit and BONG I've been joking for months about (you won't have a clue unless you follow my rants).
I've spent the morning (day, really) in my WILFRED suit feeling rather happy and "chill". I'm feeling so good...although temporary...I've been "twerking" to some Christmas Motown. My husband loves watching the show. LOAA It feels GOOD to feel nothing but the giggles. I haven't felt those for a while, believe me.
In reality and sobriety...I have FINALLY managed to get a consult with a PAIN MANAGEMENT specialist in January. Until then...I'm not taking off this costume...Anybody seen B-E-E-A-R??
Hope all of you are having a somewhat tolerable pain level and at least a warm and cozy holiday. My husband is baking an old fashioned chocolate fudge cake with pecans (from scratch)...I'm feeling the MUNCHEEZ!

I was joking about the weed...But my husband did surprise me with the "Wilfred" suit (mascot) and BONG. He said he could get the weed if I wanted=) but that's not a long term solution for me. I did manage significant relief with Lortab (too much) sufficient for laughter. Unfortunately, I had dry heaves because I forgot to eat. I needed someone to hold my "ears" while I threw up=) That was YOUTUBE worthy, I promise.
I say most of this silly stuff to make y'all giggle. Most days laughter, if only momentary, is all I have to offer you. If you know my "story" then you know that I understand the pain, the fear and the loathing of this disease.
Believe me, I have NO support system, even though I have 3 sisters (2 brothers). As long as I can remain in an upright position, they could care less what I hide behind "the mask"...just get it done! I've carried this burden alone for 20+ years, and will carry it to my grave.
This forum (and the special ladies who are ever vigilant to respond) have been a BLESSING to me and to my life. I often feel that I am of no value to anyone in my life, except my family of "users"...not drug addicts...assholes who TAKE...just an old neutered work horse that refuses to be put out to pasture.
However, if there are any of you that I can try to help or comfort in any way...I'm always in the neighborhood. I DO HOPE that y'all are finding the comfort of at least a warm blanket (perhaps a bottle of wine) and a funny movie.
