The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Hi everyone,
This is probably my biggest and most important question so far in this support group. I have been in severe constant pain now for about two years. The only thing that EVER helped was Gabapentin, however, when I took it continuously and it built up in my system, the side effects got to be too much and I couldn't take it. What I do now is take it twice a week for Mondays and Tuesdays because those are my days in-class at university. The difference between those two days and the rest of the week is just phenomenal and I wish I could feel like that all of the time. My question is, has anyone had a better experience with Lyrica or a different brand of Neurontin? I have heard through the wires that Lyrica doesn't have as strong side effects as Gabapentin, and I'm hoping it's true. Please let me know what your experiences have been with these drugs. I have a friend that was neurontin and then switched to Lyrica. She says the "brain fog" was a lot less on Lyrica. I'm hoping to switch soon

I have taken both Neurontin and Lyrica. With the Neurontin, I kept having to increase my dosage as time went by until I was taking a ridiculously large dose and it just wasn't doing all that much for me. I was put on Lyrica by my pain specialist and it really really helped quite a bit with the pain, especially from my fibro. I went through an initial "getting used to it phase of two weeks, where I sortof felt out of the loop, but after that it subsided and I was able to function fully!

Oh my gosh thank you so much for your replies... they fill me with hope. I am going to see if I can get a prescription for it today :) -- and I'll definitely keep that "two week period" in mind and not give up too soon. :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
