Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I just need to get my frustration out right now. :( .....I was found to have multiple large cysts (they're 99% sure they're endometriomas) on both of my ovaries at the beginning of September. Since then I have met with an endocrinologist at Yale and it takes forever to make and get appointments with her. I have had to go for multiple rounds of bloodwork, ultrasounds, and an MRI and finally went a week and half ago and we decided that we would finally make surgery for the 2nd or 3rd week of November. Well they finally called us back today and told us that the EARLIEST we can get it is Dec. 1st.
I'm just so frustrated because although I don't really have many symptoms with this I have completely put my life on hold and changed how I live my life, and not for the better. I am so afraid these things are going to rupture that I have completely stopped working out and I get nervous at any little pain.
I just graduated college in May and have been actively trying to find a job and I feel like I can't even really do that to my full extent because what am I going to do, get a job and then be like- wellll I have to take a bunch of time off right after I just started because of surgery. :-/
I'm just so frustrated, although I'm beyond scared for my surgery because I've never had any type of surgery before and of what they'll find once they're in there, I just want to get this over and done with and be able to live my life again.

The same thing happened with me, only they put me off even longer than you. I had a cyst that kept growing and growing on my ovary and all they did was put me on birth control. I was worried too that it might rupture. I was even debating holding off working out, but I eventually said screw it, and kept working out.
Finally after about of year of it not going away they decided to go in to remove it. I found out then I had endometriosis. So I don't think December is really too too bad, but every case is different. And I totally understand your worry! I was afraid of surgery, but knew I needed and then at the same time afraid of making a wrong move and making something happen inside.
