Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
i know its hard to go through this every freaking month and bleeding through clothes and sheets is so much fun isnt it(sarcasm)i wish i could tell you things will get better but each month is different. some months may be better and others may be worse. i started my period today how great is that lol(not) and so far my pain isnt that bad. last month it was horrible to say the least. try an ice pack it works wonders for me but everyone is different. also drink Chamomile Tea it helps to relax the uterus so it may help cramps( i tried this years back and it did pretty good)

that's exactly how i got the ball rolling to getting my suspect diagnosis! each month, my cramps were realy aweful, like my uterus was making a fist! then, one month, i got really sick (i thought i had some stomach bug as well!) and for a couple months, i was in close contact with my dr.s. eventually, my gyn said it sounded like endo.
the pain killers i'm on (naproxen) help me to an extent. i don't get pain from the start of my period until about 4 days into it... then i get the contraction deal, with less pain, and my guts churn around (again, it's less painful that it was before) and that happens only for a day. after that, i feel like i'm recovering for a couple days. but it's better than feeling that miserable with pain for 2-3 days. ;)
like sabby said, each month is diff. some months, i feel like my hormones are whacky, and even before my period, i can tell i'll end up with awful menstrual cramps. sometimes i get lucky. ;)
i will say, however, that sticking to the whole "no sweets, no dairy, no alcohol or caffeine" deal, especially, say, 3-4 days before, throughout, and a few days after your period, may help you a great deal. it's made a pretty big dif for me. ;)
good luck, toots!
