I don't know about naturally. Im pretty new with this disease. I hope your wish of becoming a mother happens, some way

Did you have a lap?
I've been told/heard women after having a lap are extremely fertile for the first 6 months. So I'd suggest keep trying!

I dont know if going through menapause is going to help getting pregnant. Those treatmens last 6 months Generally (if you can put up with the intense side effects).

Hopefully other women here can give you more insight.

There's an extensive diet that a good number of women say help with their pain. There's a book called Endometriosis: A Key to Healing Through Nutrition. You pretty much cut out every food that contains estrogen or can cause yeast. I'm currently waiting for that book in the mail. Good luck to you!!

That is kind of strange, usually doctors WANT you to get pregnant as it can stop the endo in its tracks. At least for the duration of the pregnancy.

I say, stay FAR away from medical menopause and keep trying to get pregnant! If he/she keeps insisting, get a different doctor! I've been through 3 gynos and am now seeing a specialist. ( endo/pelvic pain ) Even though I need to travel 2 hours one way, it is well worth it! I'm sure you would agree that you are worth the effort!!

I've done both surgery and the menopause. They say that after either treatment, you're most likely to get pregnant..if it's the endo that's keeping you from getting pregnant.

I had success with both treatments...but the injections were AWESOME for me for pain relief from endo. I felt like a new person! You can do the injections just for a month and if you don't like it...you can stop. I tried it and got relief after two weeks! I did the full 6 months, and to be honest, didn't want to stop b/c I was pain-free.

I still haven't gotten pregnant, but that's because I'm not ovulating...not related to the injections. GOOD LUCK!

I've been told that the medical menapause can mak it hard to fall preganant naturally. My first Gynae was suggesting it, but I got a second opion. The second doctor did a lap and gave me 4 months to try and fall pregnant naturally, before recommending a fertility clinic. I had success in my 4th month. Maybe get advice from a fertility specialist. They're expensive, but the wrong treatment can lead to even greated expenses.

Oops, I meant even greater expenses.

Thank you everyone for the advice and just to know im not alone! For months i thought i was crazy since every test came back negative i go back to the dr for my follow up on the 2nd we are going to talk to her about fertility drugs so i can get pregnant as fast as possible

Hello :) What exactly is the doctor's plan with hormones he wants to give you? My doctor put me on Zoladex for 6 months, and then we tried IVF. Unfortunately, our IVF wa unsuccessful... :( At any rate, my doctor put me into "early menopause" for 6 months. Then he put me on the IVF drugs, which over-stimulated my ovaries. I have PCOS. So, the Zoladex halped to make sure that my endo didn't spread and that I didn't develop cycsts on my ovaries during the fertility treatment. Find out what your doctor's proposed treatment plan is for you. Then make an informed decision when you have all the information you need. I wish you well :)

Hello Elle81, I just wanted to let you know that I have read a few things about diet and how it can effect the endometriois. There are a lot of great books about endometriosis and you can find them on Amazon.com or the Endometriosis association. I was diagnosed with Endo back in 2008, since then I had two surgeries and have been on various treatments. I was on Lupron for five months my last shot being May 11th 2010, but I have decided to stop all treatment. I personally didnt have a good reaction with Lupron and going through menapause at the age of 24 has been very hard. I have been endo pain free since Jan 2010, but the side effects are just as bad as the pain. I think its great that you are trying to get pregnant and that might help with your endo pain. So I would suggest getting a few books on endometriosis and diet you will find them usefull.
