Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

There just aren't the keywords endometriosis or infertility associated with the post.
So the link I provided looks like a great organization!!! They are the ones who put on a conference once a year, and also do fundraising including a really swanky ball where Susan Surandon (sp?), Tyra Banks, and Helena Christensen have been honorary guests!!! I wonder how they have been touched by endo?!?!? Hmmm...
So the conference has one day for patients, and one day for prationers. The first conference has transcripts posted on-line:

This group even has T-SHIRTS!!!
Ok, would we wear the t-shirts?
I know all about the Blossom Ball, Padma Lakshmi and Dr. Tamir Seckin (endo specialist) throw it every year in March, for the past i think 4 years in NYC. I get email invitations each year for $500 a person, i think its because i belong to the endo assoc and live in NYC. Maybe one day we'll go, but I despise the Dr. who heads it, Dr. Seckin. It would be interesting to go, but i wonder if its just a social "event" with no useful info.
I know Susan Surandon has endo, but i dont know about the other famous women, like Tyra Banks though i know she was at the last one-i saw a picture of her hanging out with Padma all dressed up on one of those mags like Glamour, so I bought it-no useful info about endo in the mag, just that these gorgeous women were at the 4th annual endo ball.Im sure everyone who saw that was like, "whats endometriosis?" LOL!
Hopefully if/when main stream talks about endo, they dont misinform the public...each time (twice) ive heard about it on TV, it was all shit info, and crap! Anyway, I got Time magazine featuring Marilyn Monroe's mini bio, I love her, and i was so disappointed; as we know she suffered from endo, and it pretty much ruined her life, they did not mention endo! and when they wrote about her surgeries/"female issues", they simply said, she had a gynecological disease or something like that. MAMALUKES!
All we can ever hope is people start to talk TRUTHFULLY about it!
and i would not wear a t-shirt...LOL! But thanks for the link, you're awesome! XX!
I thank each of you for sharing your intimate stories.
Marilyn Monroe?!?! Wow I was reading about it and it's scary, many speculate that it was the endo that killed her, from overdosing on pain meds for the endo pain. I also read that she had an ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage. Could have been the endo, or could have been the pain meds or alcohol for the second one...
Isn't it funny that we wouldn't wear the shirts, and yet we are pretty f-ing vocal on this site? Endo may never get the attention it deserves for that reason...blah.
