Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

The truth is that it is partly a diet to prevent endo from worsening, but also to help you lose weight (endo is stored in fat, so extra weight helps it thrive) and to control your hormones (which are linked to sugar and the hormones in animal products). What it did relieve for me was:
-PMS symptoms
-'hot' flashes
-diarreah
-stomach aches/bloating/gas
-hypoglycemia and cravings
-skin and nail problems.
Getting a naturopath or dietician to help is important, or at least get enough info.
Foods to avoid:
- all animal products, try to eat organic or at least low fat ones ,like salmon, chicken, skim milk, lactose free skim products
- all high fat foods, fried foods, trans fats, saturated fats
- all sugars, except natural fruit sugars (which need to be limited at first), all refined sugar
- all processed food and food that could contain hormones
- wheat/dairy/eggs (hard to digest and increase inflammation) Try to eat brown rice products instead (rice bread, rice cereal etc.) and egg whites only for bit.
- dairy, limit it to skim products and in moderation. If you live in the US, dairy products are FILLED with hormones etc. that endo thrives on. Try organic if you can
- NO alcohol or caffeine at all. This seems hard, but you will be amazed at how caffeine makes endo symptoms go insane.
- exercise at least 3 x per week for a 1/2 an hour. Even a simple walk will help, but it will make the fat burning process speed up and help you digest food.
Get vitamins: C, D, Omega 3, calcium/magnesium
This diet seems impossible for the first 3 months, then once you are used to it you realize how shitty you ate and how bad it made you feel.
This diet will not get rid of pain, but if you take vitamins and avoid the things above, your pain responses slow down.
HOPE THIS HELPS!!!! Email me if you need more info.
I combine the diet with supplements (they are listed on the same website) and I think it does make a difference.
My doctor (Endo specialist) actually recommended the diet and said that a lot of his patients are following it and are seeing great results.
I say - it's worth giving it a try (worst case scenario you'll lose some weight and become healthier in general :)
