I am currently dealing with "unexplained" infertility. I have had two laps - first one found mild endo and the second one he removed a little bit. Both endo sites were unrelated to my ferility parts. There are theories that endo can reduce the quality of the egg. My second lap was to remove a tubal pregnancy after our third IUI. Nothing is really known forsure about the disease of endometriosis. Some doctors say it totally effects it no matter where it is, others say aslong as there are no blockages your good. I dunno.

I think that "unexplained" infertility must be such a frustrating thing to deal with. Thank you for your reply. I do feel that it is probably an egg quality problem because the only times I have ever gotten pregnant was when I did accupuncture before ovulating. Maybe it is all in my head, but two pregnancies (one successful and one not) both followed only one month of the accupuncture treatment. It is very frustrating. I hope that you are able to have some better luck in the future. I read a book that said that one man found endo in his knee. Explain that! What a confusing disease.

I have learned a lot about miscarriages from my endo specialist. Many end patients have low progesterone levels. Progesterone levels rise in the luteal phase and continue to rise when a baby has been conceived. Your body cannot support a pregnancy without it. It is a very simple thing to have progesterone injections during the first 10 weeks. I have not had a personal experience because I never conceived, but I know many women that had multiple miscarriages (with endo) only to find out all they needed was progesterone. Once you know your prego- get to the doc right away to start them. If your doc is not familiar with this - get a new doc asap. INSIST ON IT. Love and Light~ Nat

Thanks! Once we try again I will ask my doctor about it. The time that I had my son I was seeing a specialist, but she never suggested that. This time I was just seeing my family doctor. I will be seeing the specialist again though now and I will ask her about it. She is really great so I know if she thinks it will help me then she will get it started.

I have had several losses all first trimester w latest at 10 wks 3 days. Some from low from progesterone, some unknown so prob chromosomal issues (very common), and some from implantation issues due to my abnormal uterus. Only pregnancy of 9 that made it was from fertility treatments and had prometrium through 12th week to keep prog up. Also had weekly acupuncture.

I was also diagnosed by one RE as "unknown IF". Second RE said, "It is known! You have endo! You have uterine issues!" I know my egg quality was fine as did IUI and IVF and they tested everything! Usually if egg quality issue, you won't conceive on own and would need IVF so the good eggs can be selected and used. To the person who was told if no blocked tubes then you are fine, I disagree. Endo makes your uterine lining acidic and cold. Makes implantation much more difficult. Acupuncture actually helps make it comfy and nice for an egg to implant. Diet helps a lot with that too. My tubes were open and I ovulated fine. But a lot of docs don't seem to know endo can affect implantation, not just conception and O.

Right now we are trying to decide if want to try for #2...took years and lots of pain (and $) to get DD.
