its been a while sense i have posted on here... i started lupron and have gooten 2 shots of it... my 3rd shot is in 2 weeks and i havent felt this good health wise in a while. not gunna lie im kind of scared to come off of the lupron because it has helped me so much! i have had many many pain free days in a row... the only real pain is hip pain and the first day or 2 i get unbearable cramps. but i have been feeling pretty good...

on another note, many of you know that my brother died in early august. this sunday woul.d have been his birthday and i am a mess. i miss him a lot and there isnt a day that goes by that i dont think of him or miss him. we were like best friends and we talked almost every day... this is the longest i have ever gone without talking to him. i am going to visit his grave on sunday for his birthday. i hope that i still feel well thru all of these emotional times.

Im so sorry about this tough time, I know how new your brothers passing is, and now your brothers birthday is just 2 months later. We're all here for you! You guys are in my thoughts and prayers!

thank you yankees8. i was so relieved when i started feling better!!! i just hope my dr has a plan for afterwards.

and thank you for listening to me i just joined a bereavement group to hope that that may hel but im not sure.. keeping my fingers crossed

Thats great that you joined a bereavement group, that should really be helpful for you. its really good that you're not holding all your feelings in, and reaching out for support!
At some point before your Lupron treatment is up, make sure to go over what your Dr's plans are so you can research the new treatments and make a good decision!

She won't see me until after I've been on it for 3 months... So at the end of the lupron is when I'll see her again

Hey-
From what I understand about Lupron, im sure you be on it longer than 3 months. One Dr. wanted me to do 2 years straight. But I dont think thats typical. If you're doing so well on it, she'll probably let you do one or 2 more rounds.

Maybe I'll call her and let her know how much it's helping and see what she wants to do. I read somewhere you can only be on it for 6 months in a row. Maybe she'll just put me on the depo shot. Who knows. Ill keep you posted tho

Im not sure. Ive heard so many different treatment periods for Lupron, like you said, you can only do 6 months in a row, then ive heard, a year, and so on. Its confusing. But you have the right idea to talk to your Dr. about whats best for you, and definitely let her know that the Luprons working. Id call her before the appt in case she has other treatment options she wants you to do, so you are ready to make a decision, if you have to come off Lupron. Like if she wants you to do depo, or BC pills continuously, or whatever, you can think about the treatments. I think that Dr's give us our options, and we make the final decision mostly.

I wonder if you can go straight on Depo after Lupron? Im pretty sure, even after you've done your last Lupron shot, it stays in your system for a while after, you maybe wanna ask her how long it stays in your system when you're done with the first treatment. Also, she may tell you that you can do another round of Lupron right away or something. Who knows? Im sure a lot of the women on here who have been on Lupron would have a better idea than me.

Im sure you'll figure it out! But right now you're feeling better, so thats amazing!

Yeah I'm gunna do some research and call her office in the morning. I was so nervous to do the treatment and now I've never been so happy that I've gone they with something.
