Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Sometimes when it's really acting up I'll drink a bunch of water then wait until I just can't hold it anymore, and then go. Urinating a large amount sometimes "resets" things and that urgency will lessen. Doesn't always work, but always worth the try.
I've also been using a homeopathic remedy called Bladder Remedy, and it's for several bladder issues including urgency and frequency. It's homeopathic, so it's safe. It works sometimes (or maybe placebo affect). It is a liquid suspension, I ordered it online from Vitacost, but health stores usually carry it.
It's certainly annoying, especially at night. Also annoying at work when I can't be going to the bathroom all the time, lol. Sometimes I'll pee and afterwards, I'll feel like I have to pee even more than before I went, which is really weird.
And by the way, it's not TMI. I feel like this is the one place I can talk about anything bodily, and think it's good for all of us to do so. Lets us know we're not alone, even with the weird or gross, lol.
Every so often I get that way post surgery. I do know certain foods make me pee alot. Even though urine is a steril, filtered liquid, I still know some foods still make it all the way through and just irritate my bladder. Green tea is a major culprit so I avoid it completely. It's a known fact that certain drugs are only partially absorbed and the rest is expelled with urine. Some tribal groups' shamans would drink each others urine to get the high from their comrads pee after they doped up. There is one medication that I used to take that made me pee alot and made it stink. Glad I don't have to take that anymore!
I have issues with frequency and I have (recently removed though) endo on my bladder, IC and pelvic floor dysfunction...In 2012 this issue was a lot worse for me and at the time I had 2 large cysts.
What gave me the most relief for this issue was pelvic floor therapy combined with medication for the overactive bladder.
