Hi,

I just had a laparoscopy recently and found out I have severe endometriosis, everything is stuck together and one of my ovaries is still stuck to my rectum. I have been told I have to have IVF to conceive and just wondered if there is anybody out there who has managed to conceive with IVF and endometriosis?

A lot of ladies on the infertility board have has success. I also have severe adhesive endo and I'm planning to start my first IVF cycle in November. Hopefully I'll have a success story to share with you very soon :)

I was successful, we are 8 months pregnant. I lost my tube to an ectopic pregnancy caused by endo. My doc then did an HSG to see if the other tube was ok, and found that it wasn't so I had a 2nd lap to remove it before starting IVF (if your tubes are stretched, then it causes toxic fluid in your uterus which makes it hard to conceive even with IVF).
I then did 2 cycles of IVF and was successful on the 2nd cycle which was a FET. The infertility board is a great place to go to get tons of support through IVF. Those girls know what they are talking about!

It is important in IVF to understand the statistics and just chill a bit. Only about 60% get pregnant on their first cycle, by the end of the 2nd cycle about 80% will have gotten pregnant, etc., etc. so it does take some time and patience but is so worth it if you want to get pregnant and can't naturally.

My right ovary is also plastered to something, u/s have shown that after my last lap it stuck to I think my uterus. I still had no problems getting enough eggs (age 35). :-)

My Endo is not that severe at this point but we conceived or first with a medicated iui and the other 2 naturally. My sister had both tubes blocked and alot of adhesions. After her lap, they did lupron. When they were ready for kids, they did one round of clomid and conceived. You can conceive with this disease! Good luck!
