Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

Hello Girls!!
Sorry I haven't been "around" for a while! I started back to College/University.. depending which side of the pond you are at. :) The work and study is so hardcore already!!! It's crazy!
I have to say I was pretty terrified of going back for my final year especially after a horrific experience last year. I know this may sound really stupid but I kinda forgot had to look after myself after being in bed for 3 straight months. I wasn't going to have my family around to look after me which I had been fine with before because I have been at college for 3 years and going into my 4th. I actually really love living on my own!
I moved back into my apartment and I love it. I am not homesick at all, I miss my family don't get me wrong and my cat lol. But after spending all my summer in my room, I am so thankful for the change.
Get this.. pain has pretty much gone. I still can't believe it. BM's are normal, bladder has improved, not quite up to par yet but getting there, and I'm actually SLEEPING. I feel like I have a new life!
I know the Mirena hasn't been great for some of the girls on here but it has been a total Godsend for me. i mean i haven't had a period since my lap and it has totally evened out my hormones. I have lost at least a dress size from coming off the other hormone pills and drugs. I get a twinge from time to time from the Mirena but I'll take that any day compared to being seriously ill on my period.. well really for the whole month. I mean, I was totally against having the Mirena but I told my Dr i'd try as it was one of the last resorts. It has been freaking AMAZING!!!! Yeah there's regular mild cramping for the first 4-6 weeks but after that, I feel perfectly normal and I'm not bleeding! Woooooooooooooooooo. For those that are given the Mirena as an option and have tried everything else, I would personally recommend you give it a go. Hey, if it doesn't work, no big deal, you can try something else. It has changed my life and I'm hoping it stays like that. I had read so many horror stories online about the Mirena but for me, my body welcomed it after being pumped to high heaven on drugs and hormones.
Well there it is. I have a check up with the Dr in December to make sure everything is going ok.
I am currently in bed today hehe, typical huh? Because I have what's called in the UK as "Fresher's Flu" or "Freshman Flu". They say it's because all the new students come and bring their new germs hahaha. Just an annoying little virus that doesn't want to go away. I am just praying i don't get this swine flu because they are expecting for it to hit us this month, and I'm at a high risk because my asthma flares up seriously when I get sick. But I am taking lots of good vitamins and looking after myself.
Anyway, I am currently trying to read through all the posts I missed. :) I hope you, wherever you are, have a great day (depending on the timezone!) and that you do not lose hope. Lots of love to all of you!!! xx

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I soooooooo wish I could try the Mirena again. When I get vacation come January I might.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Hope that flu goes away soon.
