I had a single ovary removed about 6 weeks ago. I've been taking Percocet 10/650 (4 times daily) and Ibuprofen (also 4 times daily) for the pain. Recently, I've noticed bruises on my legs. Normally, i don't bruise easily. I also have a very small bruise on my chest area. Could this be a side effect from the medications or from the surgery itself? I'm concerned.

I also take Clonazepam for anxiety, but I took that for a long time before the surgery with no bruising problems. I also occasionally take Tramadol when Percocet isn't enough.

To add, I just saw the gyno today. She saw the bruises and said nothing about them, so I figured it wasn't important or that it was to be expected. I didn't ask because of this. I should have, I know. She just gave me a script for Vicodin (for the pain from the remaining endo that couldn't be removed), examined my vagina and the incision site, and sent me on my way.

I've never heard of anything like that happening. Only when platelets are low. Maybe leave a msg with your nurse about your concerns so she can call you back and talk with you about it.

Hope you're feeling better soon. Sorry to hear they weren't able to remove all of the endo. :0(

It was a tiny bit of endo on my left tube and ovary. Enough to hurt, but not enough to hinder chances of having children or to cause major problems.

My mother also bruised real easy when she was on her period. Maybe its a hereditary thing. I dunno. I'll call and ask the doctor.
