I had my colonoscopy this morning. I'm still waiting on my lap in two weeks. However, they found endo in my colon. A decent amount of it too. Ugh.

Not sure what happens from here.

Wow, sorry for the bad news. :-( Did the GI Dr. say anything else to you besides "you have endo in your colon" or did they just refer you back to the Dr. who is doing your surgery?

Hope you can at least talk to you surgeon to get some answers as to what the next step is (besides the surgery).

I'm so sorry...but isn't it validating when you knew what was wrong and you finally get proof? Hopefully they help you out during your surgery, although I would imagine that you'll have to have a resection?

I'm waiting to hear back about what needs to happen, but the area that it is taking over I'm probably looking at a resection. It's already engulfed about 2/3rds of that section of bowel.

Last night I had to get rushed to the ER. I had a reaction to the earlier anesthesia that caused a migraine, vomiting and got dehydrated. It wasn't very much fun.

I feel good today just am taking it easy and stalking the forum.

I am sorry you got bad news! I hope you are able to figure out what to do next. I have heard that in situations like that they either excise it or if they can't, they do a bowel resection. Did they mention that?

OH dear, that's soo crazy..how does endo even get in there?! I'll be sending prayers your way in hopes that each day gets better for you physically!!

My endo had attached my sigmoid colon to my left wall and to my colon to my right ovary. The colonoscopy biopsy results came back that no endo was actually on the inside of my colon wall and that what was on the inside was only scar tissue (caused by endo on the outside). During my lap they removed the endo from the outside of colon and detached my bowel from my left wall and right ovary and removed any trace of the endo adhesions. There were implants all over the bowel surface which were removed too. So as of right now my colon intact and healthy. I will have to have it monitored for the rest of my life though with the possibility of a future resection as a worst case scenario.
