Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
i'd talk to your doc... if you just have a fissure or something, it'll likely heal up... but i'd get it checked, especially as you've recently had surgery. just let them know, they'll let you know if they want you to come in and get checked :)
hope your butt's doing better! ;)

My doctor has normally said if it is a small amount and bright red, you are probably ok and it is due to the endo. However, if your stool is black (from old blood inside) and/or a lot comes out (gushing), call the doc asap.
I have bowel endo, so I assume this is why the blood. I wonder if you do as well...
as far as i know he didn't find any endo on my bowels (which i was suprised at...), he said something about new stuff on the right back, (i guess in the cul de sac). i'll find out more about what happened tuesday.
its definitely not a tear or heamorroids. and it wasn't on the tissue or anything, it was just on and in the stools from what i could see. it wasn't bright red but not too dark, it was sort of in the middle. it did alarm me, but i am seeing my dr tuesday so can mention it.
i'm finding the codein in the pain killers are making me feel very ill so i've stopped them and trying something else.
i'm also still finding it realllly hard to pee and theres still some blood in the urine.. i guess something else to mention to the dr.
recovery seems to be taking a heck of a lot longer this time! o well...
All of the girls have said pretty much what I was going to say and like utah my bowels had to be cauterised as well cos the were stuck with adhesions but I don't have endo in the bowels, not that I know of anyhow..
You're also a brit chick like me and I was just wondering if you've had a nightmare with the nhs like I have? I gotta be honest though, it sounds like your docs are on top of things which is great.
Also seen a few of your posts and you're having such a rough time so I just wanted to say I think it's admirable how you manage to cope so well and stay upbeat having to deal with this crappy disease. I really hope things start to get better for you now hon.
Take care!!
