Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Yoga causes so much pain for me, all those forward bends. I prefer a gentle Tai Chi routine. Some people find Qigong doable as well. If you do Yoga, be mindful of what you doing to the areas of your body effected by Endo. I do yoga stretches that help my neck but avoid the abdominal work.
High impact exercises are rough for Endo ladies. Try to focus more on low impact and do high impact less frequently. If I do high impact exercises, I get horrible pain and can bleed as well. Depending on how much I do I can be useless one day or two, after rock climbing I can be messed up for a week (jolts from falling and catching in the harness is rough on the insides!). My doctors all prefer I don't do that anymore. I miss running, jogging, playing sports, and my athletically toned body. But I just can't deal with the mind-numbing pain and period like bleeding and cramping, all from one hour of intense exercise.
Hope you find exercises that work well with your body. {HUG}

Pain and bleeding after exercise is not normal. So whether it's related to endo or not, your doctor should try to figure out what's going on. Nag them if you have too. I regret not being more forceful when I was having the bleeding/pain after exercise. I spent 2 yrs with the problem before I was taken seriously, and was extremely ill (from anemia).
I'm seeing a new doctor in a couple weeks, and I definitely plan to bring it up. My mom and I were talking, and she told me that I completely under-exaggerate my symptoms when I talk to the doctor (she used to come to my appointments a couple years ago when I was in high school), and I know she's right. I have such a hard time complaining to people who I'm not close with, I don't know why.
But, anyway... I really want to be persistent this time, because this has gone on for too long and I just keep over looking it. I'm really scared of switching my birth control and I feel like that will be the first thing she suggests. Most of them make me feel fat and insane lol. But I can't do this anymore, so I guess anything else might be better at this point.
