Birth control or not?

Last week I saw My OB and she told me to start taking birth control pills while still on the depo provera. I made it clear to her that I was in the middle of a dose and asked her if that was safe. She said it was perfectly fine and practically insisted I start the birth control now, but I'm having a hard time trusting doctors lately. I was wondering what everyone's thoughts on this are and if anyone else had ever been on both at the same time. If so, what were the effects, if any. Thanks for taking time to read and respond, I really appreciate it!

I was on the depo shot, I did two cycles and had really heavy bleeding. Both times they ended up putting me on birth control pills with the depo to stop bleeding. Surprisingly this did work. I am not sre how safe it really is, but I didn't notice any significant impacts.

I don't have experiance with this but I would say if you feel you can't trust your doctor then think about another doctor, it's too important not to atelast have faith in who's treating you, their not always going to get things right, this damned Endo is a trick and elusive little bastard but.....

I was on Depo and birth control and it was horrible for me...nothing but non stop pain and no period for almost a YEAR.

not to scare you but i wouldnt suggest it

I have heard nothing but bad things about drs who don't look seriously into the side effects and interactions with birth control. That sounds medically wrong, but I am not sure. A second opinion is a good idea.
I refused BCP for 15 years and now I am on it and it has helped SLIGHTLY. I don't think I would ever take the depo shot, the girls on here say it is horrible!
