Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I have been in pain and know the frustrations of trying to deal with the medical costs associated with endo. I hate to see people post and have no replies.. so even though I'm not much help, I just wanted to say hang in there and let you know I can relate.
I'm sorry that you're feeling this miserable. Were you able to get a hold of your doctor today?
@JMitchell-I actually went to planned parenthood last night. They were really nice and had a wonderful bedside manner but told me they can't prescribe me anything with hormones in it because of my breast cancer history. The doc that I saw said that she is going to write the pres of the new england chapter just to make sure there aren't any exceptions and the fact that my current oncologist and gynecologist are prescribing progestin pills and I've been on them for over a year now and being well watched. I'm also 10 years out with no re-occurrences. I'm not holding out much hope at this point. :(
@Lindsay- No this is nothing available in my state I've been to the moon and back looking for answers and help and have found nothing. My extreme rightwing batshit republican gov is also making more cuts to the system effective starting early next week. One of them being life saving overdose drug. He's only allowing hospitals/emts an allotted amount for an entire year after they run out thats that. His exact quote about this was "It there junkies then they deserve to drop dead anyway and if its accidental its your own fault for not learning how to read your medication" We can only hope he gets voted out.
@Alana3-Please do tell that to my moron gov. for some reason he doesn't seem to get it when the rest of my state tells him that. Maybe if you tell him??? lol Even tho the norethindrone and the ortho micronor aren't considered "birthcontrol" because you can still get pregnant on them, just for the mere fact that it has the female hormone progetin in it, that means it needs to be revoked of the market immediately on my RX plan.
I just don't get the morons that live here. They are against anytype of bc, they are all dead set against abortions and then they don't want to help you take care of it after you've forced the kid to be here.
i"m just beside myself. I don't know what to do...I don't have the money for the meds and no one can or will help me. What am I going to do when the pain comes back? I was up all night crying. I"m sick of my gov telling me what rights I'm allowed to have and then telling me that my life doesn't matter just go curl underneith a rock and die. I litterally have 2 phone calls to make this morning to other service agencies in Maine, but again I"m not holding my breath as the gov also cut there funding. I just want to go and crawl into my bed and not come out again for a while.
