Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Thought I would post this here too as the more feedback the more helpful.Looking for any advice or thoughts from anyone who may help. 2 weeks ago, suddenly about 30 minutes or so after dinner, I started to have a pain in my left side. I thought it was indigestion. It progressively got worse but instill thought indigestion. I fell asleep that night and it woke me up out of sleep with Sharp pains. I eventually fell back asleep for the night.
The next morning I went into work and it seemed to have subsided, not pain, but still felt off. That morning it steadily got worse again and I went to the ER. They did blood work, urine test and a CT scan. All came back normal. I was released 5 hours later and went home. By then, the pains had once again subsided. I had some din.Eric that night and later on they came back with a force. Intermittent spasms lasting about 20 to 30 minutes at a time. I was taken back to ER in ambulance. Pain was so terrible, I couldn't drive. They did x rays,more blood work and still everything came back fine. They kept me in hospital for 3 days. Did external ultrasound, internal ultrasound and a hida scan. Everything came back fine, with the exception of discovering endometriosis, which they seemed to think as unrelated. I was given dilaudid in the hospital and neurotin when released. The spasms have subsided but i still feel intermittent pain and cramping . I am worried they missed something and I keep thinking about my pancreas.
I have been taking it easy since I got out. Got a second opinion from local doctor who seems to also think it is muscular.
The pain is right under my bottom left ribs, hurt more when I breathed deeply, dull ache when not moving sometimes and stabbing pain during the spasms. I still ( 2 weeks later) feel off. Still pains here and there but the severity and frequency of them have substantially subsided.
Any thoughts or similar situations? I am frustrated and it's making me feel like I am going crazy because they keep telling me it's muscular. Thank you.

If it is endo, it can absolutely be related. Pain can be tough to diagnose, but going to a gyno may be a good place to start if if it is related to that area. Fibroids, cysts, endo...all can cause severe pain.
The only real way to diagnose endo is a laproscopic procedure where a camera is placed internally and they can actually see everything. If this pain continues for you, or you have changes in your menstrual cycles, this lap procedure might be your best option to try to figure out what's causing this.
I have left-sided pain from endo. I had surgery in 2011 and endo was removed from around my left ovary, but it seems like it's back and with a vengeance. I now have back and hip pain on the left side, too. Last week I had a kidney ultrasound and blood work done, which came back normal. I'm convinced the back/hip pain is from endo, but there's no good way to know for sure and that's frustrating, too.
Hang in there and consider seeing a gyno specifically to address this issue.
