Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
My sister has her yearly appointment tomorrow and she said I could take it instead. So I'm stealing her appointment time lol I was just going to wait and see if I get better, but then I was like it's been over 2 weeks, screw it, I'm tired of feeling like crap. I'm going in.
2 weeks is a long time to be sick. I stole an appointment, but if I didn't steal i would've called anyways. I actually regret not calling sooner.
I just threw up again so I'll probably call tomorrow, too.
When my college sweetheart was feeling nauseous, I told him to eat something. It didn't quite work the same way for him - he ended up throwing up in the middle of class! Ha! So is this endo specific that it works for us? or do others find this is generally helpful?
Hmmmm....the world may never know...
I'm just so tired of this. I'm a teacher, and it is hard to teach when you feel like throwing up all the time! I kind of just wanted them to find something wrong with me so I could stop feeling so crazy. :\
I'm still waiting to see my gyn about my nausea/pelvic pain. The office wouldn't let me take my sister's appointment. so I'm stuck waiting till Friday :(
Nausea sucks. I agree about eating small meals. That helps. For mild to moderate nausea I like some of the home remedies: Cola syrup, crackers, B-Natal lollipops, lemon/honey. Avoiding coffee also helps for me. None of the home remedies work for me though when I have severe nausea.
Hope you start feeling better :)
My nausea has actually improved drastically and I am not sure why, maybe my natural hormones changed or something. It got better before surgery so it wasn't that either. Through most of high school & college I felt like a pepto bismal junkie (I know bad bad) because it was all that helped the constant nausea. Not saying mine was 100% caused my the endo - but I think it could have been and I still tend to be sick just before my cycle starts but not to the point of vomiting. I can't bring myself to eat if I feel sick, I'm pretty much phobic of vomiting...I'll do anything avoid it. Then I get dehydrated...vicious cycle!
I completely understand your frustration. When I first started having the back pains when my endo hit bad a few winters ago, I was sent to my internist and urologist and everything, because no one could figure out why I had blood in my urine. I kept asking them if it could be my endo coming back, and every one of them said "Endo won't cause blood in the urine." And yet, everywhere you look on the internet, it says that it does. The money I could have saved on prescriptions to clear up nonexistent kidney infections and tests to examine all my urinary innards... Ugh. So frustrating.
