Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I know my posts aren't met with popularity, but I wanted to share regardless. I recently got off birth control two months ago. Every single day I was in pain, bleeding, agony, swollen boobs. I was depressed, suicidal, and just blah. It wasn't fun. Finally, I made a surgery date and decided to stay off the pill until my surgery rolled around. Within one week after coming off the pill I have had NO pain, or bleeding and normal periods. I used to get yeast infections every 10 days and before EVERY period. I have not had ONE yeast infection since coming off. I am able to horseback ride, work out and live a normal life just by getting off the pill (loads of energy too, woohoo!). Now I am NOT advocating getting off the pill for everyone, but I did want to share my story. I have had normal periods every 33 days (a little long, but its OK!). Zero pain, my life isn't interrupted even with a period. I was even able to have sex with my period today (it was disgusting though so I wouldn't recommend it lol).
As for surgery, I unfortunately had a raging UTI that made it's way into my kidneys 2 days prior to surgery. So it had to be cancelled, because the docs were concerned about that and the catheter. But for now, my surgery is on hold because everything has improved. If this could help one person, I think it's important to share. Please don't say I don't understand endo because I never had the surgery yatta yatta. I DID have vulvodynia and had to have my entire vagina reconstructed, so I do understand that options are limited and what worked for me might not work for someone else. But THIS worked for me and kept me having unnecessary surgery. I would say if you are facing this and are already on bcps and have NOT had surgery, that this could be something that might help. Or even if you have had surgery and are having problems. The way I see it is that I can always go back on and have surgery, but this is an affordable easy fix to getting my life back.

to be in the loop! But yeah, today I felt a little fukny, but we all have our moments. I also had vulvodynai, so anytime I feel a little weird (even with something simple like a cold) I fear the worst haha! But I figured I would try anything and everything I could before I did surgery and/or danazol/iud. Something told me not to do that and I am glad I listened! Not that it cant come back. My doc has no problem doing the surgery, but he was like why borrow trouble if you can relieve the pain this way? He said if it came back he would go ahead and do it. But I am not trying to perserve fertility as I dont care about having kids so the only thing I am really concerned about is pain management, and so far so good! Are you still feeling good? Are you doing anything other then just staying off the pill? I'm trying to do mostly veggie diet, but it is so hard I hate limiting myself. But I also get a ton of exercise too so that should help as well- guess we will see!!!! Hope you're having a great long weekend if you are in observernce of Labor Day (my other forum for vulvodynia most of the women are from the UK and were just like what on Earth are you talking about lol oops!!!)!
