Yes, nausea has been a major symptom for me. Sometimes it comes with pain, sometimes without. At one point my doctor said it was because i have bowel endo, but then later she changed her mind and said that wouldn't cause it (?). Anyways, since your lap was so recent, it is very likely that this won't be a recurrent symptom for you. I had a lot of issues after my lap that only stuck around for a few months after my lap.

If the nausea gets bad, call your doctor. My doctor prescribes me Zofran for when the nausea is really bad.

I frequently get nausea as a reaction to pain. Not just period/endo pain but migraines, kidney stones, anything that hurts enough does it. Then endo itself can cause it too, but with yours happening in relation to your cramps I wonder if it's the pain thing?

I have been prescribed some anti-nausea meds before and they do help so you can go that route it you need to. Phenergan (promethazine generic) worked pretty well but seriously knocked me out...which was ok with me cause when I am in enough pain to be sick I am non-functional anyway. Zofran always worked the best and didn't make me so tired, but can be extremely expensive...mostly only used it when I ended up in the ER. Obviously the best route is to find something to keep your pain in check but I know that is easier said than done!

I know how you're feeling, I am nauseous from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed. I have had cramps so bad I have thrown up.I have lost a lot of weight from my lack of appetite, and I have had to pretty much learn to live and try to function like a normal human being with constant nausea, which is not easy. I try to keep hard candies or gum with me, and sometimes they can help lessen the nausea. Also, sometimes I take a cold compress and put it on my forehead, and sit and close my eyes for a few minutes and sometimes that helps it pass too. I hope you're feeling better :)

I can't imagine that! I don't know what is going on, I get episodes of bad cramps like my period will start but it hasn't. I also have still needed naps and Friday will be 3 weeks since the lap. Thanks for your replies

I am seven days out from a more extensive surgery (reattachment of one of my ureters to a new point on the bladder), which was my 4th. i had a lot more nausea than previously, and was quite surprised that the ginger pills my husband's sailing school recommends for seasickness gave me longer-term relief than zofran! Zofran dissolves in your mouth and works instantly which is amazing, but it did not last as long as the space you are supposed to leave between doses. The pills lasted for many hours, and ginger is anti-inflammatory and good for your digestion! I'm thrilled that it occurred to me to try them. they are called Sailor's Secret Premium Ginger. I was really excited to have a symptom I could address with one less drug. I have vomited from pain before and I do not think that the ginger would be able to prevent that, but it is fantastic for nausea. Healing wishes to you!

I am wondering if my period is delayed by the lap? It was due last weekend and didn't come but the awful cramps did. I can't remember if the surgery changes the timing of the next period?

Mine was late but I never figured out if it was due to the lap itself or because I had stopped BC just before the lap (but never had a real period like you'd expect when stopping the pills). It seems reasonable that a surgery in that area would mess up your cycle though, not to mention the general stress of undergoing any surgical procedure.
