Sorry they don't help you. You can try acupuncture, pelvic floor therapy. I just wish you could try other things before lupron. As i said it works different with everyone. I did it twice and didn't have any side effects but i know others who still have side effects years later. I wish you all the best in whatever course of action that you take. Try to eat a little more every day to get your strength back from the days you didn't eat. Get some rest hun.

what is pelvic floor? is acupuncture expensive? im willing to try whatever as long as its in my price range. i havent worked sense the end of january, cant wait to get back to work im getting anxious not working. i feel like all i have done is sleep but im still so tired. i hate not having energy. i just ad some toast. i did eat more yesterday and i have a HUGE dinner monday lol. i feel a lot stronger today but my incisions really hurt.

Pelvic floor therapy is basically physical therapy for your pelvic floor muscles. You would have to wait 6 weeks until you are cleared by doctor though. Like in my case and some other women here our pelvic floor muscles were really tight and causing other pain in pelvic area.

Acupunture is about $60 a session but you could ask them if they can bill on a sliding scale (all they can say is no). Again these are things you have to wait until you have recovered.

Sorry your incisions are hurting so bad. How many do you have?

by 6 weeks i am hoping to have a job so maybe ill look into what my area has to offer. ill bring it up to my doctor too. i have 3 one in my belly button one on my right side and one at my pelvic area and they hurt unless i have ice on them. finally got to shower today but didnt help anything,,,

I too am new to endo and had my first lap done last month. I had one excision of a cyst and numerous laser removals and I took nine days off of work for the healing process, but I really should have made it two weeks as I was sore for two days at work. DO NOT TAKE LUPRON! It destroyed my sisters life and gave her severe fibromyalgia and cronic fatigue syndrome along with panic attacks. I honestly want to strangle any doctor who prescribes it and would love to see the makers of that drug sued. I remember my throat being very sore for two or three days after the surgery as they insert a breathing tube while you are under anestesia. I had a good deal of pain from the gas going up into my shoulders, and a heating blanket helped. Just don't use heat on the excisions as it may cause swelling. i didnt have a sore throat but i have had lack of a voice for a few days it keeps coming and going. today is the first day i havent had issues with losing my voice. i have been icing my incisions and it feels amazing. lol its the best relief that i get. thank you for the pointer on lupron and thanks for the advice. :)

I have had 4 laps now and am scheduled for my 5th in about 10 days. (2 of them for endo)
Everything you are feeling seems normal, at least in my experience.

Your throat is sore because of the tube they put down the throat when they put you to sleep

You may feel achy all over form the anesthesia, I usually do for a few days

You may get headaches also for the anesthesia. I didn't get them with my first two but now it seems any time I am put under I get a wicked headache that lasts for days

You may feel pain in the neck and shoulder (even the chest) area due to the gas they use to inflate the abdomen so the surgeon can see clearly. Heat helps me the best with this pain and taking gas medicine. I just apply the heating pad directly to where I feel the pain and it's almost instant relief. Moving around and walking slowly also helps the gas work its way out of your body. Easier said then done when you just feel like laying down though, I know!

If your pain meds are making you nauseous definitely call and get some Zofran, it helps a lot. And for the first couple days, stay ahead of the pain by taking the pain meds as soon as you are allowed another dose.

If you feel like not moving much for a day or two, then listen to your body. Take it easy and slow and you will heal.

i have been trying my hardest to take it easy. feeling a lot better today but still a little sore. i didnt get headaches or gas pain but i have back pain from laying down all the time. im only comfterable on the little couch so my legs hang off and im all cramped up. the thing i have found that helps me amazingly and i reccomend to anyone that goes thru with these laps is a pillow for sitting up the ones that sit by themselves and have a "arm" on each side. they are AMAZING!!!! im only sick when i take my antibiotics. which is weird. good luck on you next lap!!!!
