Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Hey Ladies,
So I thought I would fill you all in on what is going on. After my Ectopic pregnancy last month, during the ultra sound they found a large cyst and mass on my right ovary. I was given Megastrol 40 mg to shrink both. However after 4 weeks of taking it, I found out 4 days ago that it only shrunk a centimeter :(
I have decided to go another 4 weeks and see if it will shrink more, to avoid surgery. If it doesnt work I will have to go for my 2nd Lap.
The bad news is, it has caused some scaring already, and the worst news is that my doctor wants to tie off my tubes. The right one is completely destroyed from the ectopic and my right ovary doesnt work. She feels that its unsafe to get pregnant the natural way. My chances of a normal pregnancy are 10 %
I also found out the same day (2 days before my sisters Baby shower) that the fetus from my ectopic has floated back into my right ovary and is absorbing back into my body from there. Nothing like having your dead fetus in you at a baby shower :(
It has been a rough couple of days. I have decided before allowing her to tie my tubes at 26 years old that I am going to get a second opinion at the U of M Endometriosis Center.
For those who are reading this and dont know me. I do not agree with IVF, its not for my husband and I. We have both thought about adoption maybe some day down the line. But I will not have in vitro. I always said if god wants me to have babies he will make it happen.
Just thought I would let you know. My next appointment with Dr.Blacker is the 28th of October and thats when I find out if I need surgery.

Would you consider a second opinion regarding your tubes? How about perserving your eggs?
I almost feel like I may just do the surgery. Every time I feel the slightest pain in my right side, I get worried and worked up that my Cyst is going to rupture. Its like mental torture. I havent completely made up my mind. Just really hate the aftermath of the Lap surgery. It sucks :(
