Eczema is a form of inflammation of the upper layers of the skin. The main symptoms are skin rashes characterized by redness, skin edema, itching and dryness, with possible crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing or bleeding. I am a 44 year old woman , and have had eczema my whole life. i find myself in a difficult situation at this time, you see i also have ovarian cancer, I' m in a drug study and undergoing chemotherapy.
My eczema has been extremely bad lately and i can not take any oral steroids due to the chemo, and drug study. i also have another issue that prevents me from getting help. i have no health insurance. i am in a program that pays for all my cancer care, but thats it.
i have tried just about everything out there over the counter, and it really does no good. i just recently read about bleach baths. this sounds kind of crazy to me. does anyone know if they do any good?
since it has been so awful lately the only thing that seems to help at all is plain old pink ( the clear makes it worse) calamine spray/lotion.
I am open to ANY new treatment suggestions anyone has that i have not tried already.

I hope you clear up soon. Never tried bleach bath before.
Did it make your skin dry at all? Or were you able to moisturise as soon as it finished? I'm interested in new treatments too.
